For the Journey

Any day spent with you is my favorite day. So today is my new favorite day. ~A.A. Milne

"You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance." ~Psalm 65:11
Mason absolutely loves Sundays. He has a great time with the other children in his class at church. Most times he doesn't want to leave, and it's all we can do to get him out of there without causing a scene. And then he comes home and immediately wants to take a nap because he knows we go to Logan's house after naptime. He loves his friend Logan. Logan's parents are our small group leaders, and we meet at their home every Sunday evening. I think Mason thinks going to Logan's house will come much sooner if he goes ahead and takes a nap. And then he asks me every morning when he wakes up if it's Sunday. He's always disappointed when I tell him it is not.

Yesterday we decided to have an Easter party and give our children the opportunity to "hunt" for eggs.We had not had time to "practice" hunting for eggs this year so I wasn't sure if Mason would remember what to do or not. But he did. He started filling his basket with eggs. And then he realized that he could open the eggs. So he quickly became quite fascinated with that task. And then he realized that some of the eggs had candy tucked away in them.So then he went around the yard looking for only the eggs that had candy in them. If they didn't have candy in them, he would throw the egg down and go look for another one until he found more candy. And, yes, he would eat the candy. And then he decided to teach his friend Logan about his discovery. So Logan started opening his eggs and eating his candy, too. Hannah Kate enjoyed being in her Daddy's arms. Is the bonnet absolutely precious or what?!?But then the Easter egg hunt festivities got the best of her, and she fell asleep in Mommy's arms.
